Malindo Air & Dviation Group Inks Training Agreement

Selangor, Malaysia, 22nd March 2021 – Dviation Group is honoured to announce its latest signing with Malindo Air, which took place at Ara Damansara on 17th March 2021.

The training collaboration signifies an agreement between the airline and Dviation’s training unit, Dviation International Training Organization (DITO) on the collaboration on Type Training for ATR72, B737NG and B737MAX. The collaboration also allows both organizations to benefit from shared resources through the pooling of instructors.

Dviation’s part in collective collaboration with fellow industry players is an on-going effort in line with our aviation community’s recovery from the current pandemic. Hence, this collaboration with Malindo Air is a victorious leap towards enhancing and elevating the Malaysian and ASEAN aviation industry.

Prior to this collaboration, Dviation has had the honour of supporting Malindo Air’s aircraft line maintenance operations in Kathmandu, Nepal. Now, as Dviation and Malindo Air embark on this training cooperation, the former looks forward to strengthen ties and solidify the bond between operator and service provider.

CEO of Malindo Air, Capt Mushafiz Bin Mustafa Bakri said, “Aircraft maintenance is a highly regulated, safety critical, complex industry currently facing unprecedented challenges, more so during the current pandemic crisis. We are very delighted to collaborate with Dviation and be able to provide training, which would help the students to be performance-ready at their workplace in future. Additionally we will be able to add more diversified experience and abilities while enriching the self-acquired proficiencies of the students.”

Mushafiz added, “Malindo Air have highly qualified and experienced work groups and teams which include aircraft maintenance engineers (AMEs), trainers, crew managers, inspectors and hangar managers, various other subsystems, such as planning and commercial, stores, quality and engineering and external bodies, such as the regulators.”

DITO is one of five business units under the Dviation Group, alongside Dviation Consultancy Services (DCS), Dviation Technics, D’Agency and Flite. Headquartered in Malaysia, Dviation’s presence spans across Asia and Europe, in strategic locations including Singapore, Yangon, Delhi, Kathmandu, Zagreb and Zurich.

Malindo Air is a Malaysian-based airline and operates from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (also known as the Subang Airport, Subang SkyPark or LTSAAS) in Subang, Selangor, Malaysia. The carrier currently operates a young fleet of Boeing 737-900ER, 737-800 and ATR72-600 aircraft for both domestic and international flights.
