Advancing Malaysia’s Aviation Workforce Development: Dviation Training Centre and APR-Aviation Training Centre Sign MoU
9th October 2025, Kuala Lumpur – Dviation Training Centre (DTC), under the Dviation Group, and APR-Aviation Training Centre (APR-ATC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in aviation training and workforce development across Malaysia and the wider region.
This collaboration brings together two Part-147 training organisations with complementary strengths, with a common goal to deliver integrated training pathways that support the growing demand for skilled aircraft maintenance professionals — aligning with both local and international aviation standards.
Under the MoU, DTC and APR-ATC will collaborate across several key areas, including the joint delivery of Basic Licensing and aircraft Type Training programmes, the sharing of technical instructors and resources, and the co-development of structured talent development programmes for the aviation maintenance sector.
Both organisations will also jointly explore workforce development initiatives with industry stakeholders — including airlines, MROs, regulators, and educational institutions — to address talent shortages and ensure that Malaysia continues to build a sustainable, future-ready aviation workforce.
As part of the partnership, APR-ATC will also make available its maintenance hangar facilities for practical training, retrofit modifications, and related MRO activities, enhancing the hands-on learning experience for trainees while expanding support for industry operators.
“This collaboration represents a powerful alignment of two leading training institutions in Malaysia,” said Ibnu Hidayat, Chief Executive Officer of DTC.
“By pooling expertise, resources, and infrastructure, we’re not only expanding training access but also creating a stronger pipeline of qualified professionals ready to serve the aviation industry,” Mr Hidayat added.
Amira Amirudin, Director of Training for APR-ATC, added, “Our partnership with Dviation Training Centre reflects a shared mission — to elevate Malaysia’s technical training standards and ensure our graduates are globally competitive. Together, we can deliver high-quality programmes that meet the evolving needs of the industry.”
The MoU signifies Dviation and APR-ATC’s joint commitment to supporting Malaysia’s aviation ecosystem and ensuring the nation remains a regional leader in aviation education, maintenance, and technical excellence.
