Kuala Lumpur, 31 January 2018 – Dviation Solutions Sdn Bhd was named the winner of the MATRADE Export Award in Youth-Led Exporter category in the 2018 MATRADE Export Day. The event was held on 30 January 2018 at MATRADE Hall, Menara MATRADE, Kuala Lumpur. This category is for companies whose CEOs or owners are below 40 years old.

The MATRADE Export Award is introduced this year by MATRADE in conjunction with its 25th Anniversary, to recognize the country’s outstanding exporters and their contributions to Malaysia’s exports. The MATRADE Export Day is also a celebration of the trade industry’s exceptional performance this year which significantly surpassed last year’s performance by 20.8 %. A trade surplus of RM89.98 billion was recorded, higher by 13.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2016. This was made possible by the combined efforts of both government and private sectors. The event was launched by YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and Ir. Dr. Mohd Shahreen Zainooreen Madros, MATRADE’s Chief Executive Officer. It was attended by more than 1,000 participants from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Mid-Tier Companies (MTCs), Large Companies, Multinational Companies, Government-Linked Companies, Start-Ups, Venture Capitalists, Government Agencies and business students.

All export champions started small and for them to emerge and succeed amidst various challenges in the world, catering to demands from millions of people, that is something useful for us to learn from,” Ir. Dr. Mohd Shahreen Zainooreen Madros said.

The Dviation Group was founded in 2012 by two very passionate young professionals whose dream is to make Malaysia as well as the ASEAN region the preferred aviation hub in Asia. Dviation started as a technical training provider to aviation personnel, but it has since expanded to other sectors such as consultancy, line maintenance, manpower support and fleet management. From a team of 4 people back in 2012, the company has grown to a total of 150 staff in just 5 years. It also now has presence in 8 out of 10 ASEAN countries. The rapid growth and expansion of the company did not go unnoticed as it was chosen among hundreds of SMEs to receive the award.
